Super producer Tay Keith, known for his work with Future, Travis Scott, and Beyoncé, was discovered deceased in his Nashville apartment on Thursday afternoon. He was twenty-nine.
The Metro Nashville Police Department stated that there are no signs of foul play in the death of the Grammy-nominated artist, whose name is Brytavious Chambers. “The statement noted that he was discovered deceased in his Martin St apartment this afternoon by police conducting a welfare check.” “His death remains unclassified while awaiting autopsy findings.”
Tay Keith Early Life
Born on September 20, 1996, the Tennessee native started producing beats at 14 and developed a unique sound influenced by Southern hip-hop legends such as Three 6 Mafia and 8Ball & MJG. In 2018, Keith’s collaboration with fellow Memphis native BlocBoy JB started to generate interest outside of Memphis, and their local rap music attracted Drake’s notice.

At 21, Tay Keith achieved his first success with Drake and BlocBoy’s “Look Alive.”
In that same year, he collaborated on numerous projects, including co-producing Travis Scott’s 2018 smash hit “Sicko Mode,” which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and received a Grammy nod for Best Rap Song. He also co-produced Eminem’s “Not Alike” for the rapper’s tenth studio album, Kamikaze.
Tay Keith additionally co-produced “Before I Let Go,” a bonus track featured on Beyoncé’s Homecoming: The Live Album, and served as the executive producer for Sexyy Red’s 2024 album, Sexyy We Trust, which includes the hit singles “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee,” both of which he also produced.
