Iran will conduct funeral rites for the deceased Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei from July 4 to July 9, as reported by Iranian state media on Saturday.

Iran Sets July 4–9 Dates for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Funeral and Burial Rites

The event will feature a farewell ceremony in the capital, Tehran, on July 4-5. Funeral services are scheduled for Tehran on July 6 and in Qom on July 7.

On July 9, Khamenei will be interred at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad after a funeral service held there on July 18.

Iran’s Supreme leader was assassinated in US-Israeli attacks that launched against Iran on February 28. The assaults have also claimed the lives of multiple high-ranking Iranian military leaders and state officials.
A ceasefire facilitated by Pakistan started on April 8, and attempts to achieve a wider agreement have persisted since then.
