Former Israeli PM Says Emerging U.S.-Iran Deal Fails to Meet Israel’s War Goals
Lapid stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not succeeded regarding the Iran matter.
“The ongoing agreement fails to fulfill any of Israel’s military goals,” Lapid stated on the social media platform X, contending that the Iranian regime would stay in control, its missile initiative would persist, and Tehran would have the ability to restore its nuclear program.
Lapid characterized it as “Netanyahu’s total failure,” claiming it transformed Israel into a satellite state that receives directives on its national security. He stated that “no press briefing, media spin, or AI-created video can conceal this failure.”

Israeli political and security officials, in the meantime, voiced worries regarding the deal that is said to be close to finalization between Washington and Tehran.
i24 News in Israel reported that Israeli officials think the agreement would bolster the Iranian regime and restrict Israel’s military activities in Lebanon.
Reports suggest that the US and Iran are nearing a deal to conclude the conflict that started in late February when Washington and Tel Aviv attacked Iran.
