The protest, arranged by various civil society organizations in Odenplan Square, criticized what attendees referred to as Israeli assaults in the occupied West Bank and Lebanon.
Demonstrators held signs that said “Children are dying in Gaza,” “Hospitals and schools are under attack,” “Cease assaults on Lebanon,” and “Eliminate food scarcity.”

They urged Israel to cease its military actions in Gaza and called on Sweden to end arms sales to Israel.
A contingent of Iranian individuals also took part in the protest, opposing the policies of the US and Israel.
Aydin Amir Hashimi, a Swedish activist of Azerbaijani descent, stated he thought Israel couldn’t execute such actions against Palestinians without backing from Western nations.

“Hashimi informed Anadolu that Israel would not have been able to take these actions against the Palestinians without the backing of the Western world.”
He contended that Western nations had played a role in the process by providing logistical, moral, and legal backing.
“They have stifled the Palestinian movement in their nations, throughout the European Union, and in the United States,” he stated.
Hashimi also claimed that in certain US states, criticizing or boycotting Israel has become subject to penalties.
“We won’t permit that in Sweden, and we will stop those recommendations from the EU from becoming law,” he stated.
Despite facing threats, hate speech, and pressure from their employers, Hashimi stated that activists would persist in their support for the Palestinian people.
“We feel immense sorrow for the situation and will always remember the hardships faced by the Palestinians,” he stated.
